My Wokingham is delighted to welcome our new editor, Wokingham-based aspiring writer and editor Anjolie Bright-Thomas.
Anjolie’s experience spans marketing and website copywriting, creative content writing and retail management. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Film Studies, during which she developed strong skills in academic writing, editing, proofreading and critical analysis. Her long-term ambition is to work in book publishing, using her creativity and editorial skills to shape compelling fiction.
As she continues to grow her experience in journalism and editorial work, Anjolie is passionate about sharing positive stories from across our community — celebrating local achievements, people, culture and the environment. She is also keen to encourage and support young writers, helping them contribute to a platform visited by thousands of readers every day.
My Wokingham was originally founded to help promote local charities and now benefits from a strong, engaged social media following — making it a wonderful space for local storytelling.
Founder Nick Marr said:
“I am delighted to welcome Anjolie to the team and look forward to seeing her help My Wokingham grow even further, while inspiring and developing new writers across the borough.”
We look forward to the next exciting chapter for My Wokingham under Anjolie’s editorial guidance.
