Wokingham will once again welcome hundreds of runners to Dinton Pastures Country Park as Barnes Fitness confirms the return of its much-loved Wokingham 5km and 10km races on Sunday 8 February 2026.

After taking a break in 2025, the early-season event is back for its seventh year, promising a friendly atmosphere, fast flat routes, and a strong community feel — all set against one of the borough’s most popular outdoor spaces.

New for 2026: 2km Kids Fun Run

A brand-new 2km Kids Fun Run has been added to the programme, giving younger runners the chance to take part in their own race before the main events begin. The multi-terrain route around Dinton Pastures is designed to be safe, inclusive and fun, with every child earning a medal at the finish.

A course built for speed — and scenery

Adult runners can choose between:

  • 5km (one lap)
  • 10km (two laps)

The course is well known locally for being almost completely flat, making it ideal for first-time racers as well as experienced runners chasing a personal best. The route winds through parkland paths with lake views and regular sightings of local wildlife.

What runners can expect

  • Chip timing and instant results
  • Clearly marked routes and supportive marshals
  • High-quality metal finisher medals
  • Fresh fruit at the finish
  • Eco-friendly approach, with runners encouraged to bring reusable bottles for water refills

For 2026, entrants will also receive a free three-month subscription to adaptive training app The Running Algorithm — normally priced at £29.97.

Race day timetable

  • 9:00am – Registration opens
  • 10:00am – Kids 2km Fun Run
  • 10:30am – 5km & 10km races start

Ellie Barnes, founder of Barnes Fitness, said:

“We’re delighted to bring the Wokingham 5km and 10km back after a year away. Dinton Pastures is a fantastic venue in all seasons, and adding the Kids Fun Run means it really is a family event for the whole community.”

How to enter

Entry is now open, with organisers expecting places to fill quickly:

  • £7 – Kids Fun Run
  • £25 – 5km
  • £27 – 10km

More information and registration details can be found via Barnes Fitness.
