A man has been hospitalised with serious injuries following a suspected stabbing at a nail salon in Wokingham town centre.
Police were called to reports of an incident at Lounge Nail Studio, located on Peach Street, at around 2.50pm on Tuesday, April 21. Emergency services, including ambulance crews, quickly attended the scene, while officers cordoned off part of the road.


Victim in stable condition
The victim, a man in his 20s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Thames Valley Police confirmed he remains in a stable condition.
A 21-year-old woman from Wokingham has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent. She remains in police custody at this time.




Town centre disruption
The incident caused significant disruption in the town centre, with traffic diverted as emergency crews dealt with the situation.
By Tuesday evening, the premises remained sealed off with police tape, and officers were maintaining a scene watch inside the property.
Second arrest made

Later that evening, a man was arrested in Rectory Road, Wokingham. Police also removed a vehicle from the location.
While officers have not officially confirmed a link, it is understood the arrest may be connected to the earlier incident on Peach Street.
“No wider threat to the public”
In a statement, Thames Valley Police reassured residents that the incident is believed to be isolated.
A spokesperson said:
“We understand this is a concerning incident but there is still no threat to the wider public as it was isolated and it is believed those involved are known to each other.
“We are also not looking for anyone else at this stage.”
The police cordon has since been lifted.
Appeal for witnesses
Officers are appealing for witnesses and are keen to hear from anyone who was in the Peach Street area at the time, or who may have been inside the premises when the incident occurred.
