After a break of three years the Spencers Wood Carnival was back – and it was bigger and better than ever, bringing the entire community together.  The highlight of the village’s calendar saw thousands pour into the recreation ground at Clares Green Road three years later than expected because of the Covid-19 pandemic and the death of HM The Queen.  The weather smiled on the organisers, despite a gloomy forecast and numbers through the gates proved the biggest crowd ever.  Visitors enjoyed all the fun of fair, thanks to John Coneley and his family. There was live music from Rosedale and Limpopo Groove plus a special appearance from a local band! And the dog show proved popular with prizes donated by Marshalls Pet Food Stores and Claire Hordle.     Residents could take a culinary trip around the globe with foods from all over the world including Indian and Ghanaian cuisine as well as local business, Tutu's Ethiopian Kitchen. ...
