This year The Woodley Christmas Extravaganza took place on Saturday 3rd December 2022 and returned to the town center shopping precinct with over 70 stalls, from food and gifts stall to a host of charity stalls it was an ideal place to buy unique Christmas gifts. My Wokingham attended the Christmas event and watched as two ‘crazy grannies’ made people laugh as they shopped. The day included singers, the young Steppin’ Out Stars of Tomorrow dancers, Woodley Scouts,lots of mince pies, mulled wine, and speeches by two Majors. It was also fantastic to watch Morris Dancers Borderline which included one the first Morris Dancers that uses a wheelchair
Woodley has a wide variety of shops & businesses with high-profile nationwide stores as well as many independent family-run shops offering brilliant quality & service and is promoted by Brain Fennelly the Town Centre Manager.
Woodley Town Centre holds regular weekly and monthly markets as well as lots of events and entertainments throughout the year including weekly car boot sale. Its latest shop is the bigger Thames Hospice Charity Shop which was opened earlier in the week see Thames Hospice Woodley
Shopping is made easier for disabled persons with allocated parking right in the middle of the Town Centre near the shops with very good access level.
