St.Nicholas Church Hurst held a service of commemoration to our late Queen Elizabeth. Church bells rang with muffled bells from the church tower for half an hour. There was a reading from the bible and people lit candles at the end of the short service and the new worded national anthem was sung, God save our gracious King
Hurst villagers came together to pay their respects.
After the short service in St.Nicholas Church, the Jubilee Beacon was lit in honor of our late Queen. People gathered in the pouring rain to listen to the piper play amazing grace while the jubilee beacon glowed in the background.
