The Charitable organization Sikh Welfare & Awareness Team or SWAT has celebrated 5 years of serving the Reading homeless community. With the cost of living crisis and hungry refugees, the humanitarian charity is becoming busier all the time.
Lead Volunteer Rupee Chagar speaks about feeding the homeless in Reading Berkshire and how they make hundreds of meals each week. She explains the increase increases in homeless people attending and the fact that young refugees who sometimes aren’t sometimes not fast enough to feed themselves in communal settings go hungry.
