Thames Valley Police is appealing for information and witnesses following two incidents of arson in Earley and Woodley.
The first incident occurred at approximately 7.30pm on Thursday December 22 in Rosedale Crescent, Earley, during which a 22 Plate black Fiat 500 was set on fire.
Then on Christmas Eve at around 10pm, a 53 plate silver Mercedes Sprinter van was set on fire in Harding Road, Woodley.
Nobody was injured in either incident, which are being linked, but both vehicles were destroyed.
A 36-year-old man from Reading has been arrested on suspicion of arson and released on police bail until March 23.
Investigating officer PC Danielle Scott, based at Loddon Valley police station, said: “I am appealing to anybody who has information about either incident to please contact Thames Valley Police.
“If anybody was in the area at the time of either incident and has a dash-cam or CCTV you have not already sent to the police then I would urge you to contact us.
