The Lord Raglan Pub in Wokingham Town Centre entertained its customers this evening with a Tapping of the Cask Ceremony to celebrate Oktoberfest! Offering customers to pour their own stein straight from the cask, german pretzels, sausages, and staff dressed in traditional Oktoberfest clothing creating a warm fun evening on the cold rainy night
Members of staff were dressed to get with that Oktoberfest feel and at 7 pm clients gathered around to watch the tapping of the cask. ‘tapping’ is simply the opening of a new beer keg/barrel/cask/firkin, by affixing and opening the tap.
Tapping The Keg Harder Than it Looks
This cask was pretty stubborn and it took several attempts to get the beer flowing!
