More than double the amount of visitors expected turned out for the Arborfield summer fete on Bank Holiday Monday.
The event, organised by ENGAGE, Emerging Neighbourhood Group for Arborfield Green Events, took place on the village’s cricket pitch. There were stalls by local businesses as well as fun and games including hook a duck, a coconut shy and a bouncy castle. There was local art on sale, the Scouts had a stall and the police were on hand showing youngsters the inside of their police car.
And Wokingham Borough Council Mayor Cllr Beth Rowland popped in to see all the fun and games for herself.
With the fine weather, a lot of the residents spent a whole afternoon enjoying the community spirit.
Can I ask who was the artist at this event?
