The line-up has been announced for this year’s Wokingham Festival – and early bird tickets are now on sale.
The event takes place at Cantley Park this August Bank Holiday weekend. Doors open every day at 11am for the three-day festival, closing at 10.30pm on Saturday and Sunday, with an earlier finish at 8pm on Monday.
On both the Trademark Windows and Wokingham Music Club stages you’ll find a brilliantly eclectic mix of local, national and international artists, performing a mix of original music, tributes and covers.
The headliners are rock legends Caravan, rock’n’rollers Tankus the Henge, and soul and funk specialists Funkin’ Souled Out. Other names to look out for include And of Hope, Bad Neighbours, Very Beautiful South, One Eyed Man, Jagged Little Alannis, David Bowie tribute Moonage, Saxcelerate, Spacehopper, Kyros, James Hollingworth and many more.
To keep you hydrated there will be a fantastic selection of drinks available across two bars. Run by the legendary team from Twyford Beer Festival, the Beer Festival Bar will have a range of specialist craft beers from local and national breweries along with ciders and perries.
You’ll love eating your way around all the international street vendors they have in store to keep hunger at bay. With plenty of food options to choose from, there’s something for everyone.
Free Range Jane serves free range fried chicken street food. Peru Sabor features award-winning chef Harry Goicochea who is passionate about introducing the flavours and traditional cuisine of his native Peru to the UK.
There will be award-winning Purbeck Ice Cream, Time 4 a Drink is a vintage Citroen van serving tea, coffee and cakes and The Vegan Street Diner serves an authentic American Hotdog recipe gone plant-based.
The family-friendly festival will also have some great activities for the younger audience members. Who thinks they could be a great juggler? How about trying some hula hooping? Cathy from Circus Scene will be teaching a selection of circus skills again this year, plus a selection of table top games, and has a fantastic array of unusual playthings where the imagination can run riot. Or who would like to be a lion, zebra or teddy bear? Lianne can make the transformation for the day with her wonderful face and body paint.
