On 10th of June the talented Gratis Choir will be performing a fabulous concert in aid of The Cowshed.
Join them for an evening filled with beautiful melodies and heartfelt music at the church of St Mary the Virgin, Winnersh.
The programme will be built around two main works: the popular Requiem by Gabriel Fauré and the magnificent Toward the Unknown Region by Ralph Vaughan Williams.
They will be joined by their friends in the Kennet string quartet who will perform with them in the two main pieces and will also play a movement from Dvorak’s “American” quartet.
The concert is jointly hosted with the church, which will take a retiring collection in aid of The Cowshed – a Berkshire charity supporting people in crisis.
The concert is free and you do not need a ticket, but please feel free to donate to the retiring collection. Just turn up for the start at 7.30pm.
A spokesman for The Cowshed said: “We are incredibly grateful to both the Gratis Choir and the church for choosing The Cowshed as their designated charity for this special event. The support and generosity of the community mean the world to us.”
Gratis Choir is a chamber choir based in Reading. Their concerts are normally in a local church or other venue which wants to raise money for a good cause, through a retiring collection.
