Barkham Hookers have been crocheting away to mark International Women’s Day, displaying their skills outside Wokingham Town Hall.
A spokesperson said: “We were very happy to have been asked to make decorations for the town hall to mark International Women’s Day on Wednesday, March 8. We have also made some ‘Iconic Women’ which will be displayed at an event there on Tuesday, March 7. Tickets are still available and it should prove to be a fabulously inspiring evening.
Join the Reading and Wokingham branch of the Women’s Equality Party to celebrate inspirational local women. Hear from amazing local women doing great things in the community and a local poet reading one of her works. A glass of prosecco (or a soft drink) is included with the ticket price. More drinks available for purchase and there will be time to socialise at the end.
