Now in its 3rd year, the First Days Colour Run took place at Prospect Park providing a fantastic family event where participants went home a completely different colour to the one they arrived!
The run featured a 2.5km lap where people could walk, run, skip once or twice with four paint stations on each lap. There was a medal for every finisher, and a white T-shirt which isn’t white by the end with paint throwers at each paint station.
A spokesman for First Days said: “A huge thank you to everyone who took part in our colour run last weekend!! It was such a glorious day and brilliant to see so many people in the sunshine, getting covered in paint powder and raising funds for First Days! We hope you loved the addition of the giant ball pit and the inflatable obstacle as much as we did!
“We are so grateful for all the volunteers who worked so hard to make this a fantastic afternoon. Also for the support from Just Play Sports who sponsored our race numbers and provided more fun and entertainment at the event, Avocado Property – Estate & Letting Agents for their photography skills and for helping to advertise the event around Reading, Saxcelerate who provided music and a brilliant atmosphere, one half Two Lost Birds who joined us on the day to create a vibrant new painting for us and donated a print of the final piece as a raffle prize, and Wooden Hill school, Bracknell parkrun and Fullsteam for lending their speakers!”
